CLIENTS

AGAPE provides parenting services of individual & group classes, resource support, a baby & hygiene store, and fatherhood resources & support. All services are at no cost.

No insurance is needed to come to AGAPE. All services are 100% free and confidential.

Most client’s eligibility can be determined via the phone prior to an appointment.

Gender identification is outside the scope of limited obstetric ultrasound.

Diagnosis or detection of medical conditions for you or your baby are outside the scope of limited obstetric ultrasounds.

Friends and family members are encouraged to join you at your appointment.

AGAPE pregnancy services are located at 2550 MLK Jr. Parkway and at 1700 W 2nd Ave in Indianola. Additionally, AGAPE parenting services are located at 2222 Bennett Avenue or online.

AGAPE testing is all urine based. As no blood is drawn through our services, HCG levels are not a service provided.

AGAPE provides testing for chlamydia, gonorrhea, and trichomoniasis at no charge to you.

AGAPE does not provide treatment for STDs. However, Polk County Health provides treatment for STDs at an affordable cost to patients.

AGAPE does not provide prenatal care. We provide medical case management to support healthy pregnancy and healthy baby at no cost.

DONORS

AGAPE accepts new items for the baby boutique. Stuff Etc. in Ankeny also partners with AGAPE for all used donations and AGAPE receives 50% of all donation proceeds.

Due to liability and OSHA regulations, AGAPE is unable to accept used cribs, mattresses, beds, car seats, and breast pumps. However, gently used strollers and pack-n-plays in full working order are welcome!

AGAPE’s most pressing needs are listed on Facebook regularly. To find an up to date list of needs, please view the needs list on our website.

AGAPE accepts new blankets that are 2’ x 3’ in size and thin enough to be used in a crib.

Yes, we take one time or ongoing monetary donations. Donations can be mailed or delivered to our main location at 2550 MLK Parkway Jr., or your donation can be given securely online.

AGAPE regularly needs size 4,5, and 6 diapers.

AGAPE is unable to take used breast pumps due to OSHA regulations.

AGAPE sends a thank you and tax receipt to our donors after every donation and at end of year annually.

It is best to call and make an appointment to drop off items, plus you may have the opportunity to meet the executive director and even get a tour! We can schedule your donation drop off during normal business hours Mon-Thurs or Fridays by appointment.

VOLUNTEERS

Our Friday workdays are always an option for volunteerism. Please email our volunteer coordinator at volunteer@agapedsm.com to sign up today!

AGAPE is in the process of building our Family Community Center, which will be fully staffed by volunteers. Currently, all client service volunteer opportunities are full.
