Rendirse

In Luke 1:30-38, Mary was told of her pregnancy. The news was so unexplainable, life-altering, and profoundly distressing. Mary questioned, “How can this be?” As you read this passage, she quickly shifts her outlook: “May it be to me as you have said.” Within minutes, she went from fear to surrender.
Her surrender came quickly because she knew her God… the living God, the Great I Am, the Breath of life, the Holy One, the Voice in the darkness, the Maker and Giver of life. He was not the unknown legend, but the One whom she knew and trusted.
Every day, the ones we meet at AGAPE do not know Him or His voice. They are lost in darkness, but they are not beyond His sight. Before the foundations of the world, He ordained them to walk through our doors. In that moment, Light comes into the darkness of their lives. Love is poured upon them like an anointed oil upon their heads. In those sacred rooms, they meet Him because they meet us, His followers.
This Lenten season, may we remind ourselves to quickly move from fear to surrender. May this movement within our hearts come swiftly. He is worthy of our full surrender because He has given His life for ours.
